Based on the high ammound of requests we took the change to start with a new office in Barcelona / Spain.

All contracts has been signed and we are waiting for the end of "refit" work on the rooms.

In July / August 2012 we will open our "spanish" doors. We will inform you as soon as possible about the opening date on this place. 

As long as we start in Barcelona there is a lot of work to do. - We looking forward to a lot of projects in a good partnership with you.

During the METS a meeting of the working ISO group "Super Yacht Standard" has been done.

Since years Wrede Consulting is a part of this committee and has been represented this time by Mr. Kay Joh. Wrede.

Publication of the standard will be approx. in the middle of 2012.

By then we like to assit you with all upcomming changings that can influance also you specifications.

 As we know from the previous years, during the Monaco Yacht Show there is an high interest in spontaneous support.

We are very happy about the report of Meer & Yachten 2011 about our 3D-Laser-Scan technologie. The german artikel you can find on the 3D-Scan page. An translation will be posted in the next days

In cooperation of Wrede Consulting and other players of the market, the guideline of objective surface quality criteria has been completed. The publication will be in short time. We are very proud that several points of our self developed WCon 10 Point Program have been adopted in these guidelines. These guidelines will simplify the specification of quality standards for contracts in the future.  

 After 5 months in the yard, the part-refit of one of the most famous yachts of the 100m+ sector has been completed. Wrede Consulting has supported the owner with the paint specification, the choice of products and the technical support in advance, as well as the permanent quality control on scene during the final top coating phase. The expected quality standard has been reached and the works have been finished 3 days earlier than scheduled. We wish the yacht and the crew a successful season 2011.     

 At this year's boat show „Boot Düsseldorf" the members of the ISO/WG5 as Wrede-Consulting met again. Highest priority was the integration and implementation of 19 pages of recommendations and changes listed by all member states. These corrections containing furthermore experiences of  CCS and Wrede-Consulting measurements in accordance with the actual ISO-Drafts. The revised version will be presented to all states mid of march of this year (2011). The final publication is not to be expected before mid of next year (2012).

In cloth cooperation with CCS Wrede Consulting has measured the surface of a newbuilding in the sheed of the dutsch yachtbuilder Moonen. All measurments has been carried out in accordance to new ISO and ICOMIA Quality-Standard for Super Yachts. The results will be the base for the final discussion during the next ISO WG5 Meeting in Duesseldorf durihng the boot show.

During the 2nd International Superyacht Coating Conference in Estoril / Protugal Kay-Joh. Wrede and Tom H. Grucza had presented the delegates how to measure and documentated surface quality in accordance with the new upcoming ICOMIA and ISO standard. Therefore testpanels has been measured, sprayed on the first day of the conference with different spray methodes (conventional and electrostatic). Results will be send by E-Mail if requested

Together with the HCU (Harbour City University Hamburg) Wrede Consulting has launched WCON 3D-Laser-Scan System 2.0. The technical innovation enjoys all the advantages for an time effective scan of a complete vessel of 70m in less than 1 day. For more information please contact Tom H. Grucza (CTO)
